How low with Mr Suck go? He is pretending that ‘if’ the Coyotes had to move then Winnipeg would be the best place for them to go. Is anyone stepping up a bid to bring the ‘yotes to Winnipeg? Has there even been rumours of this?
Two interesting things coming out of the court documents:
In an affidavit filed Friday, Earl Scudder says that Bettman informed him Hamilton wasn’t an ideal destination because Copps Coliseum is over 30 years old, saying “if the team did return to Canada, it would be to Winnipeg.”
So Winnipeg is next on the list… that is great… but Mr Suck still have a vendetat against Ontario.
Scudder’s affidavit also says that Bettman said the only way a team would end up in southern Ontario is through expansion.

Ask your self, “Why would Mr Suck pit Winnipeg vs Hamilton?”. The asnwer is pretty easy, he is trying to divide Canada over where the Coyotes should move. It is hard to fight a united Canada but a split Canada falls perfectly into evil little hands.
Yes, the MTS Centre is newer than Copps Coliseum but Copps can seat up to 17,383 for a hockey game while MTS can only seat 15,015… so that mean…. WAIT NOW… I am falling in to Mr Suck’s evil plan to divide Canada! Damn you Gary Bettman…

I am Canadian, and from Edmonton, you dont know how bad the NHL would be affected if phoenix moved you idiot!! you have to create a bigger fan base, as the NHL still contines to show growth!!! Bettman has changed the NHL for the better, when he started as comissioner in 1993, the NHL revenue was 400 million, now it is 2.4 Billion!!! Trust me…. that team will stay in phoenix…. because copps needs to much work and is old, and mts to small, and phoenix will continue to grow, like the capitals have.

..interesting someone from Edmonton saying Copps is old when the Edmonton arena is 11 years older!. As far as the NHL showing growth, does anyone even believe the crowd figures for teams like Phoneix is true??. We all know there is too many teams as it is and it isnt the amount of revenue it is the amount of profit. Im sure Basillie’s company’s revenue in 1993 wouldn’t even come close to what it is today. “Research In Motion (RIM) earned $398.3 million on revenue of $2.78 billion for its third quarter of 2008, the Canadian maker of BlackBerry smartphones announced last night”.(that’s one quarter too bad he can’t just buy the NHL).When certain parts or aspects of a company are losing money (phoenix 13 years)…guess what a real company does..they sell it or change it. I havent been to Copps in a 2 years but to suggest it isnt good enough arena in the interim is a big lie. It’s one of the best places in the country to view a hockey game/concert. Adding newer seats and concessions isn’t exactly major problem it can be done very quickly. The biggest thing is the boxes but there is already spaces for boxes that just aren’t currently used. They would have to be renovated and it doesn’t have to be done completly in the first year. Even without renovations it would be sold out and right from year one Copps would be 15th in attendance if you go by this years attendance. The arena was built so it can be expanded and the roof can be taken off. You could have this arena a top ten NHL arena for half or less then that cost of building a new arena. In a few years it would blow away Edmonton’s arena. Don’t ever listen to Bettman saying Copps is too old it just a line because he wants to protect the Buffalo and Toronto market. How dumb is it for someone to suggest the arena in Winnipeg that holds 2,000 less seats (and would be near the bottom of attendance) in a province that has 1.1 million, when there is 5x that within 50 miles of Hamilton. The only reason Hamilton would get this team is it’s forced upon the NHL and they can’t legally stop it, otherwise yes it will stay in Phoneix to lose even more millions. In fact i heard because this is going on they have only sold $20,000 dollars in tickets for this coming year…in a word they are “screwed”..but that wont stop Bettman. That team is going to bleed another 25-30 mill this year or more. Something that hasn’t been mentioned much in the media but right it in Bloomberg news…the NHL increased their line of credit from 70 million to 200 million (this was 4 days ago)…we know what that is for. This “group” that is supposed to take over this team, doesn’t have their own money and will get it from the NHL…or the NHL will take control until they move it to another American city..
..also yes you might have to gain growth in the American market but at the same time you don’t alienate millions of your core fans in the biggest market for hockey on earth. You have no idea how hard it is to score a ticket to go to Toronto its almost impossible and you give up. There is a waiting list of thousands and with Buffalo doing well at the gate, tens of thousand of NHL fans couldnt even get to a game in this area if they tried and if it keeps up they are going to lose generations of new fans because i can guarantee that the majority people under 20 in the Hamilton/Toronto area have never in their life gone to a game. I know a guy who is a major Leaf fan since the 80’s and the few times he has been able to score tickets it was standing room only and he and others have basically given up.

That idiot from Edmonton claims that Bettman grew in revenue from 400M, did you ever hear of Cost of Living. A loaf of bread in 1993 cost .80 cents but now costs 1.99. Understand the picture.
